Synopsis:
When sexy Dom Sebastian sees Ashley, he can’t seem to take his eyes off her. She will become his love. His pet. His slave. He’s cared for her since high school but he was different then. He was scrawny and geeky and unpopular. The only times Ashley knew he existed were the times when she was making fun of him. Ashley had been in control her entire life but things were about to change. Sebastian has been reunited with Ashley and is now intent on training her to become the obedient, submissive woman who will please his every need, his every whim.
Careful to conceal his identity, Sebastian hides behind a mask, hoping she doesn’t recognize him. Only there is something strangely familiar about his piercing baby blues. He doesn’t reveal his name to her, instructing Ashley to address him only as Sir. He often refers to her as Wildcat, the screen name she used to meet men online. Sebastian spends months training Ashley to submit, but his feelings for her often get in the way. He tries to remain tough because he has vowed to never love again, never let another woman hurt him, but there’s something different about Ashley. She makes him want to be a better man. There has always been a soft spot in his heart for Ashley. Can Sebastian learn how to truly love someone and can Ashley love a man she’s never really known?

Name: Raine Storm
Age 33
Where are you from Lyndhurst, Ohio (near Cleveland)
A little about your self `ie your education Family life etc I’ve always loved reading and
writing and feel that books give us all a chance to get away from reality for a bit. I also
really enjoy sports. I have spent some time coaching baseball and I love to watch my
beloved Cleveland teams on TV even if they usually let me down.
Fiona: Tell us your latest news?
My first erotic novel Wildcat will be coming out
later this month. I had always enjoyed writing psych thrillers but it’s been a lot of fun
expanding into the erotica genre.
Fiona: When and why did you begin writing?
I began writing when I was just a young
child. It’s always something I’ve been good at and I’ve gotten lots of compliments on my
writing but I also write because I absolutely love books. Especially real books. I collect
them.
Fiona: When did you first consider yourself a writer?
I think I’ve always considered
myself a writer. There was a four year span where I quit writing because I received so
many rejection letters but once I heard about self-publishing I went back to be the person
I always have been, a writer.
Fiona: What inspired you to write your first book?
All the compliments on writing
inspired me to write my first and I’ve been writing them for as long as I can remember.
Last April I released my first novel. A psychological thriller called Hazed and Chained
and holding that first book of mine in my hand is one my life’s greatest moments to this
point.
Fiona: Do you have a specific writing style?
My style is that I’m a dark writer. I often
pride myself on shock factor and I’m not afraid to tell things like they are.
Fiona: How did you come up with the title?
I got the name Wildcat from a scene in the
movie speed when she was driving the bus and the bomber called her Wildcat.
Fiona: Is there a message in your novel that you want readers to grasp?
There are two
messages. One is that no matter how tough and closed off a man is the right woman can
change is thought process entirely and the other is that in order for any relationship to
work things need to be good in the bedroom. Communication is key to that. Don’t be
afraid to tell your partner what you want.
Fiona: How much of the book is realistic?
It’s mostly fictional but there are a few
things I’ve taken from real life. I usually add some life experiences into my books. I’ve
definitely taken some things friends have said or done and put them into the book.
Fiona: Are experiences based on someone you know, or events in your own life?
Some of
the sex scenes are from things I’ve tried with partners in real life yes.
Fiona: What books have most influenced your life most?
My favorite books are the
Catcher in the Rye, The Time Traveler’s Wife and Gone Girl. Catcher in the Rye is good
because the character is so brutally honest. Gone girl has a lot of shock factor which I like
because it’s a similar style of writing to mine and I feel it’s helped me improve my style
and Time Traveler’s Wife is a very well written love story. Not usually my thing but that
one got to me a bit.
Fiona: If you had to choose, which writer would you consider a mentor?
I would
have to say Gillian Flynn just because of her style of writing, so brutally honest, dark,
suspenseful and shocking.
Fiona: What book are you reading now?
Currently reading Captive in the Dark by C.J.
Roberts.
Fiona: Are there any new authors that have grasped your interest?
C.J. Roberts would be
that person. Not sure how new this author is but the author is new to me.
Fiona: What are your current projects?
My current project is the Wildcat trilogy. Book
one will be out later this month and I also am looking into a re-release of Hazed and
Chained.
Fiona: Name one entity that you feel supported you outside of family members. My
friends are the ones who also kept me going, who always believed in my writing ability.
Fiona: Do you see writing as a career? Absolutely. Writing is definitely a career to me
and not a hobby.
Fiona: If you had to do it all over again, would you change anything in your latest book?
I would change some things in Hazed and Chained. I would put more detail in the sex
scenes and make the book a little longer.
Fiona: Do you recall how your interest in writing originated? Just from all the
compliments on my writing and loving to read from such a young age. My parents said I
was reading entire books at two years old so I think it was inevitable that books would be
a big part of my future.
Fiona: Can you share a little of your current work with us? My current book Wildcat
shows us Dom Sebastian attempting to train Ashley, a former dominatrix into
submission. He is tough, cocky and a little arrogant but develops a soft spot in his heart
for his sexy sub.
Fiona: Is there anything you find particularly challenging in your writing? Honestly
writing has never been all that challenging to me. It’s always been fun. The most
challenging thing is meeting deadlines and goals.
Fiona: Who is your favorite author and what is it that really strikes you about their work?
Gillian Flynn is my favorite but I also like James Patterson. Gillian writes dark books
with shock factor and James Patterson adds some good mystery into his books.
Fiona: Do you have to travel much concerning your book(s)? I have yet to travel much
due to my writing but I’ve currently been setting up some public appearances so it looks
like I’ll be on the road quite a bit soon.
Fiona: Who designed the covers? I don’t currently have a cover designer though I’ve
spoken with a few in recent weeks.
Fiona: What was the hardest part of writing your book? The hardest part of writing Hazed
and Chained was writing Ray’s character. I could never be as sick and twisted as he was.
The hardest part of writing Wildcat is honestly that it’s tough to write erotica without
stopping because you are horny.
Fiona: Did you learn anything from writing your book and what was it? What I learned
from writing any of my books is that there are still a lot more readers out there than I
thought, mostly female. This is definitely a good thing considering the spelling I’ve seen
in some text messages by the younger generation of late.
Fiona: Do you have any advice for other writers? Read a lot and write a lot. Observe your
surroundings. Pay attention to facial features of people without staring at them. Pick up
on conversations around you. These are things you could use in your books.
Fiona: Do you have anything specific that you want to say to your readers? Make sure to
leave reviews. That’s how we really make our living so we can support our own families.
Fiona: Do you remember the first book you read? The first book I read was called,
“Whole stole the Wizard of Oz.” It was about kids who searched for a library book that
had gone missing.
Fiona: Other than writing do you have any hobbies ? My hobbies are sports. I love being
athletic. I play tennis and coach baseball when I can. I try to stay active.
Fiona: What TV shows/films do you enjoy watching? I love the Blacklist and Law and
Order: SVU as well as King of Queens. My favorite movies are Back to the Future,
Speed and Cruel Intentions.
Fiona: Favorite foods / Colors/ Music I like Steak, Meatloaf and Tacos. Favorite color is
Orange. Kid Rock is my favorite singer/songwriter
Fiona: If you were not a writer what else would you like to have done? Baseball player
for sure.
Fiona: Do you have a blog/website? If so what is it? Yes. I’m on Tumbler. http:// www.tumblr.com/blog/authorrainestorm
